Network support

One number for the whole network

Internet, switches, Wi-Fi, router, firewall and the servers behind them. When any part of it stops, you call us rather than working out whose problem it is.

The network is the part of a business's technology nobody thinks about until it fails, and then it's the only thing anyone can think about. It's also the part most likely to have been installed once, by somebody who has since moved on, and never looked at again.

We map what's actually there during the assessment: what's plugged into what, which switch is hiding above the ceiling tile, whether the Wi-Fi covers the back office or merely appears to, and whether the firewall is doing anything beyond existing.

The conversation where nobody owns the problem

Most businesses have met this one. The internet is slow, so you call the internet company, who test the line and say it's fine. So you call whoever set up the Wi-Fi, who says it's the internet. Meanwhile nobody can work, and you've become the project manager of an argument between two companies you didn't want a relationship with.

The point of having one provider for the whole network is that the argument stops being yours. We deal with your internet provider directly, we look after the equipment inside the building, and if the answer turns out to be the line rather than the gear, we're the ones sitting on hold about it.

What's covered

  • Internet connections, and dealing with your provider on your behalf
  • Switches, routers, firewalls and cabling
  • Wi-Fi coverage, including the parts of the building people complain about
  • Servers, monitored and maintained
  • Network segmentation, VLANs and DNS on Advanced and Premium
  • Printers, on Advanced and Premium

Base network support covering internet, switches, Wi-Fi, router and firewall is on every plan. Advanced work like DNS, VLANs and more complex configurations comes in on Advanced, along with printer support.

Compare the three plans, or read what the monthly fee covers.

Questions we get asked

Our internet is slow. Is that something you deal with?
Yes, including the part where somebody has to establish whether it's genuinely the line or the equipment inside the building. That diagnosis is most of the work and it's the part businesses usually end up doing themselves.
The Wi-Fi drops in one corner of our building. Fixable?
Almost always, and usually more cheaply than people expect. It's typically a coverage problem rather than a hardware fault, which means placement rather than replacement.
Do we have to buy the network equipment from you?
No, and when you do buy through us it's at what it costs us with nothing added. Hardware at cost applies to switches and firewalls exactly as it does to laptops.
What if our building provides the internet?
Common in shared and multi-tenant buildings, and workable. We establish what's yours and what's the landlord's, deal with their provider where that's the right route, and tell you plainly if a shared connection isn't enough for what you run.
